The Main Way to Beat the Heat
A lot of the country is sweltering this week with record-highs under a dome of hot air that has even pushed its way back to the west. Vermont is no exception.
Since typical highs in the summertime rarely cross 90, Vermonters are (terribly) quick to complain about the heat. Throw some humidity at a Vermonter and you can almost watch him melt like an ice cream cone under a slow-licking toddlers' tongue.
Neither of them are pretty to watch.
The best way to pass the heat? Hit the water!
We've put together a list of places you can go in for a full swim... or just take your dogs for a quick cool-off... or even some that are better for just kayaking.
